When we first received the call from Wunderman, we knew that this was
going to be an exciting and challenging project. From initial concept
design to 3D modeling, the project was the equivalent of building a
small city in about two months. Our team of artists jumped in right away
with 2d conceptual design while our modelers went to work on creating
the key structural landmarks that needed to be custom designed in order
fit within the environment. All aspects ranging from design dimensions
to material weight restrictions were adhered to in the fabrication
process. The end result provided a powerful marketing tool for Wunderman
and a bit of 3D magic and curiosity for the weary traveler. The displays
were placed in twelve airports nationwide.
In addition to the creative efforts, we knew that we would need a
partner in the project to handle logistics. The obvious choice was
Midnight Oil Creative. Their role in designing the presentation case,
creating graphics and coordinating installations was critical.
