ROBERT WILLIAMS

In 2010 the studio opened a CNC facility in North Hollywood for an ever-increasing demand for large foam outputs. Some recent clients have included Urs Fischer and Robert Williams (see video above). The sculpture Robert is working on originally started as a sketch. This was then extruded in Z Brush and resized. Two pieces were actually created here - 'Diamond In A Goat's Ass' and 'Brute Waste'. These are part of Robert's 'Conceptual Realism in the Service of the Hypothetical' series.

KING KONG

Gentle Giant Studios created a huge King Kong for the film's premiere in 2005. Each section was foam milled, then painted and assembled at our Burbank facility. It was then disassembled and trucked to New York where it was once again put together in Times Square.
