HIGH DRAMA, HIGH FASHION, AND HIGH FRUCTOSE. GENTLE GIANT STUDIOS WORKS WITH AWARD-WINNING COSTUME DESIGNER TO PROMOTE WONDER WOMAN – 1984.

When working on promotional items for an upcoming film there’s no substitute for having real access to filmmakers to assure the promotion is as authentic as possible and true to the spirit and vision of the project.

Gentle Giant was recently tapped to help create a unique item to promote ‘Wonder Woman – 1984’ by working with our friend Lindy Hemming, award winning costume designer who helmed the wardrobe for this exciting film series. We’ve worked with Lindy previously on the Wonder Woman film franchise, as Gentle Giant Digital has been a VFX Scanning partner on the films, and assisted production by scanning talent on-site at GGS.

Lindy’s concept was a couture fashion accessory to package a specially-produced limited edition confection by candy giant Ferrara for their SweeTARTS® brand. Wonder Woman’s famous Lasso of Truth makes an appearance in this promotion, which includes the Gentle Giant produced high-fashion accessory and a silicone tube dispenser for the candy.

The bag itself needed to feature the distinctive repeating geometry made famous by Lindy’s costume designs on the film, and to achieve that effect, high resolution graphics were produced and laser printed on vegan leather, and the bags assembled with a 18k gold plated WW logo plate cast in metal and affixed.

Directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot, this installment of finds us fast-forwarding to the 1980s in Wonder Woman’s latest adventure, and it’s a great pleasure and honor for the Gentle Giant Team to collaborate with the accomplished Lindy Hemming, Warner Brothers, DC, and Golin to bring this promotion to the public.
